About Our Firm
We are a firm of purpose and substance founded with the philosophy that an estate plan must adapt to the different needs that a family has at different times in life.

Many estate planning offices take a “one-size-fits-all” approach; they try to work with as many people as possible in as short a period of time as possible to maximize their fees. We see you as more than just a transaction—to us, you will always be more than your credit card or personal check.

A lawyer that does not take the time to carefully consider the client’s family needs is bound to create a plan that fails at the moment the client’s family needs it the most. We will listen and hear you.
We can confidently say that with over 1l,000 clients, not one of our estate plans has failed, nor do we expect it.

As a boutique law office and a State Bar of California Certified Legal Specialist, Chris keeps abreast of new case law and recently enacted legislation that affects his clients’ estates and rights in regards to his fields of practice.

Many small businesses have either been closed or suspended on-site operations due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns that have included stay-at-home declarations, masking requirements, social distancing requirements, suspension of in-person court proceedings, and required vaccinations to attend functions. Lawyers have needed to use readily available technologies to facilitate the business relationships that are necessary to keep a law practice running during this worldwide pandemic.

Some of the most notable examples of using technology to address COVID-19 issues are e-signatures, virtual notaries, digital documents and e-filing, video conferencing, or teleconferencing and Zoom meetings.

C.S. Scarcella & Associates follows CDC guidelines for its office, client visits, and employees. We also use virtual technology whenever possible to provide client services including court appearances.

Our Philosophy

A Plan for Every Season

Planning for every season means having the right plan for whatever the conditions are.  As we experience the seasons of life, our needs change.  The young family might not have many assets except the greatest asset of all- children.  And then that family, now established, might have a monetary estate to protect from lawsuits and creditors.  Still later, the parents entering their golden years must consider their greater care and elder needs.  Lastly, the parents pass, leaving the next generation to inherit their life lessons and values

As the seasons change, so too must your estate plan.

You wouldn’t wear your winter jacket on a summer day, would you?  You shouldn’t expect the estate plan you made in your 20’s to cover you in your 70’s.  Our firm uses cutting-edge planning tools to customize your estate plan to suit your unique needs at whatever stage of life you’re in.  From our exclusive Children’s Protection Plans, to our Personal Asset TrustsTM, Living Trust PlusTM, and recorded Legacy Conversations we have you covered.  You can expect success because we regularly follow up to make updates.  no other law firm offers this spectrum of services nor do any have the review process that we utilize.  We make plans that work.

A plan for every season means being prepared for whatever the weather may be.

Changes to our lives occur whether it be young families concerned with raising their children, established families accumulating wealth, or services dealing with health, finances, and legacies. There is no singular estate plan that works for everyone. Our firm will take the time to listen and hear your concerns now and in the future.
